Inaugural Annual Yamaha XT Gathering 2013.

Right people, we need some info here please.
Adventurer has asked and Veldblom has obliged to write an article for Biker Lifestyle but we need as much factual info on all the bikes and people that were here.
How many, how many of each model, oldest (XT500 or Dan's 400?), newest, oldest rider (Spannerman?), youngest rider, where you all came from and photos that you would like us to add if you're willing to do so.
We are pressed for time so please send whatever you have to [email protected]

BTW, my bike is actually 'n 550 met 'n 600 motor in. Dit maak hom seker die 2de of 3rde oudste, na die 500?

Nou ja, ek ry 'n kamera saam maar gebruik hom maar min, partykeer kom hy saam terug sonder dat ek hom eers uit gehaal het.

Maar op die trip het ek hom vir een of ander rede uit gehaal op die Paardebond pad, seker maar omdat ek geweet het uncle Vis gaan die pad mis ry.

Hier is die afdraai wat Jakkals soos sy gat verduidelik het. uncle Vis mis gery het.

Dankie, baie f*&*&^ dankie, ons het by daai afdraai gestop en bespiegel of dit dalk die afdraai kan wees, maar nee, Jakkals het ander instruksies gegee.   ot:

Dit lyk dalk nou anders omdat dit gereen het maar ek het jou op die pad gevat met ons Anysberg trippie so jaar terug, ons het nog vleis gebraai by die klippe.

The real reason for the CT boys getting there so late on Friday evening... Steve handing out Chilly Vodka shots at every second KTM puncture ;D
If we had one at every puncture we wouldn't have made the bash at all.

Sidpitt + Charles + Brent travelled from Kroonstad on XT 600 Tenere's;
T1 = 1983 Model (Frame No. 39E000434)
T2 = 1984 Model (Frame no. 39E004184)

Distance travelled to and from XT Bash:
- On tar (just because there were no gravel roads) =242.1km
- On gravel = 1329km
- On trailer (just because we ran out of time....and daylight) = 653km

No flats, No mechanical or electrical hassles and only one "small" off.
Top up oil used by both bikes = 500ml

PS: Neither Charles (28) or Brent (20) are Wild Dogs because I don't want them to see how much time I spend on the site

"Worst experience of the weekend?": Was having to watch the disappointment on their faces when the days riding was over.
"Best experience of the weekend?" : Was watching their faces when they talked about the days ride.
"Biggest disappointment of the weekend?" : That it was all over so quickly?????

Now it makes sense - Gavin was probably poking his rear wheel with a nail when no one was looking just to get a chance for one of them shooters again !
