Begin van sewe passe, Knysna kant

Oornag by Forest Edge

En toe bars daar 'n storm uit en hael, en ons wil braai

Drie keer hard gereën en toe bedaar die storm

Vuur gemaak en heerlik gebraai

Na 'n lekker gemaklike nagrus, was dit tyd om op te saal

Karatara, ek was verbaas hoe skoon en netjies die dorp is, 'n pluimpie vir hulle

Net voor hierdie brug het 'n vrou op bergfiets geskrik vir 'n slang, skielik gerem en haar man, wat te naby aan haar gery het, binne in haar vas, geval en sleutelbeen af
Gelukkig baie voertuie op die pad en na hulle uitgesort is, ons weer fort

Baie bergfietse op die pad, ry werklik vinnig en hou nie regtig in hul kant van die pad nie, daar kom nog lelike ongelukke
Andersins 'n heerlike pad om te ry

I do live in a beautiful part of the world
And yes, the Bospad section is super painful with cyclists, I am sure many of them get taken out along there, they usually dont stick to their side of the road, and its very narrow in some places.
But the same can be said for some cars and even other motorbikes, I have had one or 2 near misses with motorbikes who arent sticking to their side of the road.

I had a very near miss with two dudes on mountain baiesukkels. Not sure how they missed me. Good for them they did. I was in the bakkie.

The road was in general in good condition, there were one or two patches that was a bit washed away from Saturday's storm, but nothing serious, went over it like a dream

Ai....the pic of the old bridge over the Gouritz brought on some big nostalgia. I spent many weekends on that bridge. When the SE blows hard you can feel it move. I don't know how many times I've jumped off it. Good fun.
