Some would say it is a load of money, I would say the experience and enjoyment of this trip is priceless.  Live is too short, enjoy it while you can.

Worth every cent.  :deal:

Your opinion about the tyres?

Mitas E-10 knobble front and Mitas E-07 rear (the new harder compound).

The rear tire is an excellent choice, did the whole trip, 9 000km's and will do another 2000km easy.  This is by far the most I got on a rear, the most I got previously was between 5 000 - 7 000km's.  Grip on all terrain is excellent.

The front tire is not MY choice, I lost grip a couple of times, something I did not experience with other tires.  It also tend to run to loose on the loose stuff.  The front starts to drift / sway at 120 and up.    Nothing serious, but you don't feel in control and it gets worse on gravel.  The front is also kapoet / done / shot after 9 000km's.

I still prefer the TKC at the front and the Mitas 07 at the rear.

This is my personal experience and choice.

O yes, and lady luck was on our side, we did not have one puncture throughout the whole trip.

Whoever might say this has got to tell us where we can enjoy almost a month's touring / travelling holiday for any less!
R811 per day for two...travel, accommodation, meals and entertainment all inclusive is pretty reasonable in my book!!

Thanks, Wayne.  I thought so too, especially taking into account that we had to buy our daily supplies at whatever winkeltjies and lodges that were available at times.  I can guarantee you, some of these lodges can spot a desperate traveller a mile away.  At times we paid R35 for a small bag of ice and another arm and a leg for a small bundle of wood.  I also had a good share of Wimpy coffee and after all, we were on holiday and it was worth each and every cent.  We do not regret spending some money for such a wonderful time.  Expenses are part of the package, so, although our "Bike account" is now exhausted, we will and are going to do it again.    :thumleft:

Absolutely brilliant, this makes me want to pack my bags right now and follow your tracks.  :thumleft:

Thank you for an exceptional ride report. What has happened to Hasie?

Hasie had a short but great life. Hasie  was eating well and gave us much joy in running around the house and chasing the dogs.  Thursday morning when I took Hasie out of his/her box, Hasie was laying on her side.  I picked Hasie up and gave Hasie as much as possible body heat.  Hasie gave signs of life and then all of a sudden gave two kicks, and that was the end.  Hasie is buried in our yard.

Hasie will be sadly missed.

Lekker saam gelees. Dankie vir die deel!! Where do we pay our entrance fee to your great RR (movie). As a fellow dog said: "These pics should be in a National Geographic."

This RR should be published in a Bike mag like Bike SA perhaps.

Mooi gedoen Arende!!!!!

Dit was 'n great trip.
Les 1:  As jy nie jaag nie, kry jy nie punctures nie.  :thumleft:
Les 3:  Water is nie swaar nie.  Klere en goeters is.

Is Twyfelfontein se petrol pomp nou toe?

Jou banddrukke?
Dalk jou paklys?
Het jy dal die GPS roete beskibaar?
Matrasse gebruik?
Weereens baie dankie. Ek dink n groot deel van die trip is die sktyf van die artiekel wat my aanbetref beter geskryf is as enigge artiekel in n tydskrif.
